Our learning policies

The Vineyard Organic Day Nursery believes children develop best through facilitated, child-led learning, and learning through play.  We promote individual skills and decision-making, and give children access to facilities and equipment at all times, under the care and guidance of our specialist staff.

We want to make a difference in childcare provision, and to achieve this we have developed a set of innovative policies geared towards protecting your child’s environment and their futures: (i) organic and healthy eating, (ii) caring for the environment, and (iii) innovative learning.

 

Eco child-friendly policies

To ensure the protection and well-being of your child and the world in which they live, at The Vineyard Organic Day Nursery our eco child-friendly policies include:

🌎 Low Plastics ~ We love our FSC wooden toys and solid wood equipment.  Pre-school enjoy mealtimes with carefully selected plastic-free cutlery and crockery.

🌍 Recycled paper is perfect for all our arts and crafts.

🌏 Reuse and Recycle ~ We always reuse and recycle everything we can in the nursery.

🌎 No Microwaves in our kitchen.

🌍 Organic ~ Our ingredients are organic because your children deserve quality pesticide-free meals which taste and look real and are really delicious!

🌏 Locally Sourced ~ Our quality Community Playthings solid wood equipment is designed and manufactured in the UK  and where possible we always choose locally sourced food for a lower carbon footprint.
