Nursery life

A personal show-round is the best way to fully appreciate just how warm and welcoming our nursery is. Once inside you can experience the friendly atmosphere and environment enjoyed by our children.

All of our rooms and ancillary spaces are light, colourful and inspiring freeflow spaces with a comprehensive range of educational resources, toys and activities to keep your child busy, happy and naturally learning.

We endeavour to acknowledge and respect any religious beliefs, special dietary requirements and family circumstances wherever we can.

A day at nursery will include carefully planned structure and routine, as well as free time and choices of play and learning activities.  We also have some extra curricular activities such as Spanish and Drama lessons.

Working with Parents

We appreciate the importance of good communication and openness with parents. Many of us are also parents ourselves. We are always available to talk through any concerns or anxieties you may have (however trivial they may seem) and operate an ‘open door’ policy with parents. It is therefore of paramount importance to make not just your child, but you as parents completely happy with choosing The Vineyard Organic Day Nursery.

Settling In

When you have accepted a place, our first priority is to allocate your child a ‘Keycarer’- a member of our staff who will take prime responsibility for your child at The Vineyard Organic Day Nursery. This special person who’s job is to ensure that each individual child’s needs are met, form a secure relationship with the child and to build an open, honest relationship with you will oversee the process of settling your child into nursery life.

During the settling-in period we welcome you to attend nursery sessions with your child, helping them to prepare and adjust to their new surroundings.
